Research Ethics Workshops at Saidu Medical College, Swat

Saidu Medical College, Swat in collaboration with Khyber Medical University, Peshawar and Centre for Bioethics and Culture(CeBEC), Sindh Institute of Urology, organized a research ethics workshop on May 13-14, 2011 at Saidu Medical College,Swat.
This was the first workshop of its kind at Saidu Medical College and was eagerly attended by the faculty members and allied health staff of the college. Around 70 participants attended the workshop, Prof. Farhat Moazzam and Prof. Amir Jafarey from CeBEC gave lectures on the critical and important subject of “Bioethics.
Dr. Tasleem Akhtar ( Research Consultant, KMU) was the chief Guest at the occasion, she lauded the efforts made by Saidu Medical College for organizing the workshop, she said that the university will extend its all out support to such endeavours in the future, to promote a health research culture in the Khyber Pukhtoonkhwa province.
Later on she presented the participants with certificates of attendance.
